Wow! What can I say other than wow! So, I must first start this review out by saying what I am moving from in previous watches. As of late, I have been a big Samsung Watch fan! My first ever smart watch was the Samsung S2, then I went to the S3 and then the 4. I was very please with each model until my final upgrade to the Samsung Watch 4. Before I have always used watches during the day and charged at night. Now, with wanting to track sleep and possibly use the watch as an alarm clock, I began doing that with it. The Samsung Watch 4 is the worst watch for battery. Good luck getting 24 hours out of it, even using it minimal.

Anyway, fast foward to my German Shephard Labradoodle, Thor, eating my Samsung (thank you for that), I'm in the market for a new watch. Now moves in the Garmin Instinct 2! With the size option of the S, this watch is the same size as the Samsung. The only minus on this watch, if you can call it that, is the monochrome display. I'm totally okay with that option with what I use it for. So, I get the watch all charged up and check the face for battery life... um... 15 days?!! Really!?? I've had the watch for 10 days and still have not yet! And now, I have 4 days left! This watch is so freaking awesome!!! If you want a watch with amazing battery life, an awesome tracker, and everything you could possibly need in a smart watch, buy this one!!!! I will come back and update if there is anything more to note.

This is the smart fitness watch that I have been waiting for. Watch is very comfortable, lightweight, good size, includes all the features any fitness/outdoorsman would want, and incredible battery life.

I upgraded from a solar G-shock watch that I have been wearing for years waiting for a decent solar fitness watch. I have had lots of recommendations to consider Garmin fitness watches for tracking workouts and health, and I am grateful for their recommendations. this watch has it all.

The user interface is very simple to navigate, and there are so many features and customizable options built in. I have only had it a week, so I have only used it for indoor rowing, hiking, and mountain biking, and the built in sports applications are excellent.

My friends and family with Apple watches are all envious of the battery life, plus it has solar charging that actually works! While playing at the park with my kids this weekend, I could literally watch the battery life increase. It also charged while I was driving the car.

Prior to purchasing, the only negative reviews that I saw online were regarding the difficulty in seeing the watch face in the dark or lowlight settings. First of all, the watch has a backlight button so you can get instant light at anytime of day. Secondly, there are backlight settings which can automatically turn on the backlight anytime you bring the watch up to view and will turn it off when you lower the watch; this setting can be set to all day or only at after sunset (which is the setting I have mine set to).

Bottom line, there is nothing to not like about this watch.
