I am putting in a bigger shower and wanted to make sure it had all the safety features we needed. We are in our early sixties and not getting any younger. These feel very solid when screwed into the wall braces installed behind the shower panels.

This was just what I needed to give me a place to hold on to while showering with the added benefit of it looking so elegant. In addition it is great for putting shampoo, soap or other products and the black matte matched perfectly for me

Well made and doubles not only as a shower/bath grab bar, but also as a shower shelf to store shampoos, body lotions and the like. Made of stainless, but time will tell if rust occurs (hope not!). At present, the sub-wall must be properly backed up and prepared in order to secure the grab bar with adequately long hold-down screws (provided, though not sure of they are made of stainless). For retrofit applications where you're not sure of what's behind the wall, the company states that Easy-Mount Anchors are available, but they are behind and these likely won't be available until well into 2023. You can use Moen Secure Mount Anchors which are very likely similar to what HealthCraft will release, but you will have to fabricate your own mounting discs (out of aluminum or other non-rusting metal) that lie behind the grab bar mounting plates, since the Moen disc diameters are too large. Took me a fair amount of effort to produce my own, but the end result is very satisfactory. Happy overall. Just wish Health Craft would offer a TOTAL product that isn't just limited to NEW renovation installations, i.e. that can be retrofitted.

I am putting in a new bath with acrylic shower walls; you know, the standard thing you get from the big box stores. The shower wall are slight rounded. This product is not, so this rail will not fit and I have to return it. It does seem rather sturdy, so if you have old-fashioned tile, it might be a good choice.
