Watch worked really well for swimming and hiking for ~15 months. Then the altitude sensors malfunctioned. Support said that prolonged exposure to chlorine is likely to do that. Have ordered a replacement watch and will need to take special care with rinsing the watch after every swim.

First of all, I love the battery life. But mor importantly, I love the AMOLED screen, which is bright and clear. The Instincts are hard to read in many different lights but Epix gen 2 is readable in every light.
My only complaint is that I cannot add watch faces. I supposedly have the latest version for watch software and Garmin Express but every time I try to download watch faces I get messages that I need to install the latest software.
The watch says software is ver. 16.22. Garmin Express is 7.20.3.0. According to all the online helps I should be able to go to System, Software Updates and then select update software but there is only Auto Update. When I plug in the watch via USB cable to my computer the screen locks on charging information. I cannot even turn the watch off. Garmin Express syncs to the watch and says everything is updated. So I am not sure what is the issue, watch, software, cable, Connect IQ software. All are supposedly the latest versions.

I wavered indecisively between the Epix and Forerunner 965. In the end, both are great. But this seller has been one of the most helpful, responsive, reliable, and patient - of ANY seller I have encountered on Amazon. I cannot recommend highly enough, I would definitely buy again from them, they actually care about their customers.

Also, the Epix speaks for itself. It’s large, crisp display, and versatile as a fitness watch and casual wear. Just buy it. Here.

About 2 months ago, I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 5, which was my first Garmin watch after previously using Apple. The first few takeaways as a whole:

- Garmin’s battery life is far superior to Apple.
- Garmin’s health metrics capabilities are far superior to Apple.

After falling in love with Garmin’s product, I decided I wanted to go with something waterproof as I live near the ocean and want something I don’t need to take on and off. I also wanted something slightly bigger, and with a few more metrics. I also wanted to stick to the AMOLED display. So I got the Epix Gen 2.

You will be astonished at what this thing is capable of/does. Ranging from weather radars, mapping, training readiness, HRV Status, VO2 Max, animated workouts, Multi-band GPS, and so so much more.

Apple is basically a phone that you have to charge every day, whereas this is a product that will keep you constantly engaged in what your body is doing, as well as act as your best training and activity buddy. And it’ll last you 2 weeks on 1 charge.

10/10 watch.

I upgraded from a vivoactive 4. I love all the great features and the bright display. What can I say that hasn't been already said there are hundreds of video and reviews on this watch and they all say the same thing IT'S FANTASTIC
