I'm still learning some of the features but it has most of the functions I used on my Apple watch at a lower price. I especially appreciate not having to charge it every day. It does not have a GPS function so the steps on my watch and Apple phone do not synch up.

Only wish the band was larger... I have thick wrists... no option for a larger band from this seller

It has many advanced features that I love having access to, including giving me a sleep rating. I would say it is a good performing and good value product for people looking for a new fitness watch.

This replaced a Fitbit Versa 2 that I had been using to track my walks. The Fitbit was very unreliable - always losing the Bluetooth connection to my iPhone, hit or miss uploads to Strava. The Vivoactive 5 has been solid, does everything that you want and more. I now get more functionality from the Garmin Connect app than I did just using my Garmin 830 Edge Bike computer. All the sleep and activity tracking may not be critical for my purposes, but it's good stuff to know. It's nice to see the time, date, HR and steps at a glance, and all the other info is a swipe or two away. It's lightweight and comfortable. I've been wearing it 24/7, curious to see what it comes up for my long term trends. Very pleased with the purchase (and the price), and good riddance to the Fitbit.

This replaced my VivoActive 3 and the upgrades make it even better than the 3. Love the Sleep Tracking, Body Battery and all the functions. I use it for hiking, road and mtn biking, swimming and SUP.
Wish Garmin had published all the little hacks that are available.
