It generates steam and can be used with the lid off to heat submerged samples for specific heat experiments. Key features include easy-pour lip, 9-step heater settings, digital readout of heater setting, safety steam relief valve, and automatic shut-off switch when the vessel runs dry. The device can heat 500 ml of water from 24°C to steam in 5 minutes with the lid on and up to 92°C in 8 minutes with the lid off. The generator includes features like an LED low water warning light, rubberized handle, and carrying handles.
